Zoe Patches Hand Sewing Class session 2 (Thursday, October 2nd, 16th, 23rd, and 30th)

Join us in our first ever gear repair/ gear sewing class lead by our experienced lead Zoe.  You will learn hand sewing basics, button repair, open seam repair, and rips/ tears/ and patching skills!  Zoe mentions getting into the mindset of repairing and being able to do a long lasting functional repair anywhere is possible as long as we have a quality sewing kit.  Cost includes 4 one hour classes and a sewing kit. Classes are for one hour every Thursday October 2nd, 16th, and 23rd and 30th from 5.30pm-6.30pm in Johnson Center Rm. 150.

Zoe Patches Machine Sewing Class session 2 (Friday October 3rd, 17th, 24th, and 31st)

Join us in our first ever gear repair/ gear machine sewing class lead by our experienced lead Zoe.  This class requires zero experience and will educate you on proper gear repairs, like machine sewing basic skills, open seam repair, hemming/ shortening, and patching! Zoe mentions getting into the mindset of repairing and being able to do a long lasting functional repair anywhere is possible as long as we have a quality sewing kit. The class will provide all the equipment such as iron, sewing machine, fabric, etc.  Cost includes 4 one hour classes and a sewing kit. Classes are for one hour every Friday from 10am-11am in October, 10/3, 10/17, 10/24, and 10/31

SOLO Wilderness First Aid (Saturday/ Sunday October 4th - 5th, 2025)

This 16-hour, 2-day entry-level course is the ideal certification for outdoor enthusiasts looking for basic first aid training and backcountry medical skills. Wilderness First Aid (WFA) covers topics ranging from preparation and prevention to assessment and treatment. Students will have an opportunity to learn practical skills through hands-on scenarios as well as in a traditional classroom setting. Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is a 2-year certification. This is an in-person class and students must attend all 16 hours.

Location: UNM Outdoor Adventure Center - 8am-5pm both days.
