The OAC has partnered with The Scuba Company to bring discounted rates for their stellar classes.
In the PADI Open Water Diver (OWD) course, your adventure will begin. Being the worlds most recognizable scuba certification means you can take your certification with you anywhere in the world and be recognized. In the course, students will discover and review information about dive theory and equipment with a knowledgeable and passionate instructor. Following the classroom portion, students will spend time in the pool to perfect their skills. The final phase of certification comes in the form of dives in open water. When taking classes through The Scuba Company, you will go to the Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM to complete your open water dives. In addition to the pool time, you will complete four dives in the open water at Blue Hole.
This course is taught off-site. You will be connect with The Scuba Company to complete your registration upon payment. Students will receive a 15% discount on mask, snorkel, and fins. You must purchase or already have your own.

Join us in gear repair/ gear sewing class lead by our experienced lead Zoe. Zoe mentions getting into the mindset of repairing and being able to do a long lasting functional repair anywhere is possible as long as we have a quality sewing kit. This class is designed for people who have zero or little sewing experience. Class objectives includes hand sewing basic skills, different types of fun functional stitches, button repair skills, open seam repair skills, zipper repairs skills. One hour studio time where students will schedule a one hour sewing practice session at Zoe Can Patch It business location.
Materials: Hand Sewing Kit will be provided in class to keep ( Includes: Gutermann Mara70, Thread Snip, A Set Of Hand Sewing Needles, Seam Ripper, Measuring Tape).
Classes are for one hour every Wednesday July 1st, 8th, 15th, & 22nd from 5.30pm-6.40pm in Johnson Center Room 120.
